A Case of Vibrio Fluvialis Bacteremia

Abstract
Vibrio fluvialis is a halophilic gram-negative bacilli usually found in sea water or seafood, and mainly cause gastroenteritis and diarrhea illness. We present a rare case of bacteremia caused by V. fluvialis in 71-years old man who has a history of sea food ingestion 2 weeks ago. He was admitted because of fever and V. fluvialis was isolated from blood. The patient was cured with fluid and antibiotics therapy and discharged after 11 days.
